I was so excited to make a couple sets of crochet edged baby blankets and burp cloths. I used two different patterns one found on "My longest year" and one found on "Sew Chic"(found to the right under ~Blogs I frequent~). I used the size/dimensions from "My longest year" and the crochet instructions from "Sew Chic". I did change up a few things... Instead of using just one piece of flannel I decided to try to use 2, a printed side and a solid side. I think if I did this project again I would use only 1 piece of flannel as 2 made it hard to poke the crochet hook through. I also didn't do the picot (round 2)edge, just the single crochet edge, even though I wanted to (no time).I found a really cute fabric that was not the typical baby colors/patterns that I loved at Joann Fabric. I've given one of the sets away as a "Welcome baby Macy" gift. The other set does have a home, friends who also had a beautiful baby girl,Jael, we just need to take it over to them....
