It's official...I'm the CFC (Christian Faith Center) Mom and Me Play Day Coordinator and I now have one play day under my belt.

Mom and Me Play day is held on the third Thursday of each month at CFC. It's a fun time for Mom's and kids to interact. My first play day theme was...Being Thankful and Fall. We had circle time where we read a short story called "Fresh Fall Leaves". We then looked at the Letter of the day, T, making the "tuh" sound and naming pictures of things that started with T. We read Psalm 136:1 Give thanks to the Lord for He is good his loving kindness is everlasting. Next was the "If you're Thankful and you know it" song...the kids seemed to like that! The Moms then helped their kids with the Thankful Turkey Craft.

Then it was snack time...The kids favorite part of the day!

The kids' Turkey cookies didn't turn out like this...they just had 3 candy corn and a smidgen of frosting to stick them to the cookie....most of the candy corn was immediately eaten and the frosting licked off and about half the cookie was left behind to run and play with the bouncy balls in the gym. A few of my Mom friends helped me get the lights on, keep things moving and cleaned up....Thanks Cindi,Katie and Michelle! It was also great to meet a few new Moms and their kids! I look forward to all that this ministry will hold...
