Richard and I just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We were married on February 22, 1969 and it was a beautiful winter day. All our kids except Natalie were able to come to Speculator to celebrate our anniversary. They surprised us with a nice party and a gorgeous book with pictures and notes from many of our friends. What a special gift. The kids knew just what we would love! It was so much fun to have our six grandkids under 3 1/2. Even though it didn't precipitate during the entire time they were here, there was enough snow on the ground so everyone got to play in the snow. Sand toys worked great for playing. Monica who we knew from Zaire came over from Syracuse on Saturday to see the kids. That was a special visit. They had fireworks at Oak Mountain on February 14 which were absolutely fantastic.
