Voting

So I thought I'd write a blog about my vote. I'm going to sort of echo what my pastor said today at church because he said exactly what I feel.
He first told a story about a teenage girl 49 years ago who got pregnant. Her teenage boyfriend and her took a trip to his (wealthy) family's doctor. The doctor told her, "all you have to do is take these pills and the fetus will be aborted." As she brought the pills to her mouth, she stopped. She then threw the pills in her boyfriends face and left. Our pastor went on to say that the baby that she ended up giving birth to was him.
From my perspective, I've only been going to Christian Faith Center (cfcnampa.org) for about 6 months, but I've seen the impact that our pastor has had on thousands of people. I've seen hundreds come to know Jesus as their Savior in part because of Pastor Monty. I realize that ultimately God brings people into a saving knowledge of Himself, but the point is, Pastor Monty is a great example of someone who serves Christ wholeheartedly. The world is a better place because that teenage girl made the right decision.
And you know what, and more important to me, Katrina's mom faced the same choice as a 16-year-old girl. And a lot of pressure to abort Katrina. Where would I be then? No Katrina. No Grace or Faith. I can't imagine.
The fact is, Obama is pro-abortion. All people are pro-choice. God is pro-choice. It's called free will. We all have the choice to do what we want. But to be pro-abortion is to say that I control life. I decide what human is allowed to live and which ones are not. I'm sorry, but that is up to God, not man.
If a person is willing to agree with the pro-abortion stance, then who's to say that he won't be in favor of killing everyone over the age of 75 because by that time people are all used up and they're a drain on the economy and no good. "Let's pass a law that we kill them." Extreme example, I know, but the point is, he makes poor, anti-Christian (that's ANTI-CHRIST) decisions. I do not want him making decisions for me and my family.
Obama has also voted in favor of making homosexual marriage legal. I believe a marriage should only be between a man and a woman. It is how God created it.
McCain is a veteran. Everyone in America knows that, but does anyone really think about it? The man almost died for our country. Think about all the people that have made this country free! You can vote because of people like McCain. I truly believe that he cares about our freedom. I don't think we can just end the war and be done with it. I want the war to be over as much as anyone, but it needs to be done responsibly.
Lastly (actually, I could go on, but this is getting lengthy), I predict that, if Obama became president, he would do a good job for 4 years. I believe everyone would love him and he would restore the economy and the world would think America is #1 again. I believe he would get re-elected in 2012. Then ... all Hell would break loose. That's just what I think.
We'll see.
